Jianxin Xie is a professor of University of Science and Technology Beijing, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is a distinguished professor of the Yangtze River scholars award program of the Ministry of education and a winner of the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. His main research focuses on the solidification and forming of advanced metal materials, intelligent manufacture and processing technology of materials, key technology of materials genome engineering, etc. He also serves as deputy director of National Expert Advisory Committee on New Materials Industry Development, vice-chairman of Chinese Materials Research Society, and head of National Materials Genome Engineering Program expert group.
